Stage Manager
Since graduating from drama school in St-Hyacinthe in 2009, Marie-Christine Martel has worked on many projects, mainly providing assistance in the staging, management and / or production management. She regularly assists Sébastien Dodge of the Théâtre de la Pacotille firstly with La Genèse de la Rage (TDA 2011) and La Guerre (TDA 2012), Dominion (Espace Libre 2013). Marie-Christine is slated to participate in the company’s upcoming creations. She has also assisted Serge Denoncourt (Il Campiello, Thérèse et Pierrette à l’école des Saints-Anges, Le Prénom), Christiane Pasquier (Pour un oui ou pour un non), Stéphanie Lépine (Les ours dorment enfin), Jean-Philippe barrel-Guérard (Ménageries) and Hugo Turgeon (Beach Party).
In 2012, she joined the team of Les 7 Doigts de la Main as a stage manager for the creation of Traces 5, as well as the workshop for Le Murmure du Coquelicot. She was a production assistant for the creation of the Moulin à Images de Ex Machina in 2008 and the Festival d’été de Québec in 2011. She has also stage managed many shows in Montreal and toured Canada with both youth theater and the public theater.She will soon stage manage the touring production of Michel Tremblay’s Le Chant de Sainte-Carmen de la Main.
